Pascui Rivas was born in New York City, but grew up in Argentina. Pascui graduated from an intensive six-year film program at the Cordoba National University. There, he wrote and directed his short "El Sereno" ("The Night Watchman"), a noir-style film that won Argentina’s National Endowment for the Arts award, as well as the Kodak Film School Competition an award granted by legendary cinematographer Lazslo Kovacs. That same year he also won the Incentive Award for Young Cordoba Artists. Since 2006, Pascui has been directing and editing in Los Angeles, where he has won prestigious awards as a a commercial director, such as a “Silver Lion” at Cannes Lions, a “Gold Medal” at New York Festivals and “Best of Show” at theAdAge/Ahaa U.S.H. Idea Awards. His short narrative film “Four More Years” was selected for the New Filmmakers LA showcase and received “Special Recognition” by the United States Congress.  

His documentary short “Jean Lewis” was part of the “Official Selection” the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival, 2012 Salt Lake City Film, Festival, and 2011 Starz Denver Film Festival. Pascui is currently finishing his feature documentary “Mande” about an employer-employee relationship filmed over a decade.
